Writing an Argumentative Research Paper

This guide will provide an overview of what an argumentative essay is, how to write them, examples, and provide a list of suggested databases in order to begin your research

Choosing A Topic

Writing an argumentative essay requires the writer to choose a topic that is debatable or a controversial issue meaning their must be two points of view for the topic.

Choose a topic that interest you and that has enough evidence or facts to prove your claim but disprove the opposing viewpoint. Some instructors may have a list of topics to choose from so do some research before choosing a topic.
