SUNY OER Services offers template courses that can serve as starting points for your own development. You can mix, match, and adapt anything from the courses quite easily.

Basic Manufacturing Math is a non-credit contextualized math course designed to assist students in developing the necessary math skills to complete the manufacturing curriculum. At COCC, this non-credit, ABS-level course is taught in modules as a series of break-out sessions for students currently enrolled in the credit Manufacturing Technology program. The target population is first-term students in the program identified with very low math skills based on Accuplacer math scores.

The book and auxiliary materials are now post in OER Commons. There are a pretest and posttest and some miscellaneous answer keys as well.

offers free mathematics textbooks in Calculus and Mutli-Variable Calculus, and includes free lecture series to accompany the content.

Math instructors have unique needs, and there are two good open platforms available to meet those needs. WeBWorK and MyOpenMath enable instructors to automate practice problems that are accessible to a wide variety of learners. In this session, Alex Jordan, Portland Community College, will discuss the features of WeBWorK (example: https://webwork.pcc.edu/webwork2/orcca-demonstration/) and Carrie Kyser, Clackamas Community College, will discuss MyOpenMath (example: https://www.myopenmath.com/, username “guest,” no password).
This session is ideal for faculty who are ready to break up with their expensive copyrighted product but don’t want to lose functionality.
