Preparing for an Interview
Your goal during an interview is to convince the employer that you are the best candidate for the job. In order to accomplish this, you must be able to clearly convey and present your skills and strengths to the interviewer by answering questions and by the way you present yourself through your body language and state of confidence.
Phone Interviews: interview is conducted over the phone using in the screening process
One-On-One Interviews or Face-To-Face Interviews / Traditional: Interview is done in an office setting one on one with either an hiring manager, supervisor, or Director/CEO.
Panel or Committee Interviews: You will be interviewed by multiple personnel at the same time
Breakfast or Lunch Interviews: interview takes place over a meal with one individual or a group
Remote or Video Interview: The interviewer will conduct the interview by means of a video conference or they will have the applicant record there answers to the interviewer's questions
Behavioral Interviews: Ask you questions about how you have handled situations in past jobs
Case Interviews: You will be given scenarios and you must show or communicate to the interviewer how you would manage the situation.
Situational Interview: presents the interviewee with situational or scenario type questions to see how you would handle the problem
Stress Interviews: Used to show how an applicant will handle stress on the job
Competency Based Interviews: You will be asked questions pertaining to soft skills and your competencies on the job
